about

Interpretation by Ivana Mladenović:

1.”Free Spirit”: The truly liberated goddess. We owe her tremendous homage. She cleverly turns from saintly to unpredictable in an instant. She commands a huge, worshipping entourage with attention-grabbing metallic percussion. They awaken her innermost sensibilities and are attentive to her every bidding. She summons fierceness and mercy at will. Her movement is the source of her wisdom and power. She sounds and appears deceptively carefree. However, she changes destiny without a second thought. Since she alone justifies her actions.

2. “Laurel”: Permissible entry into an ever-present spirit world. A harmonious ebb and flow in tone, introduces Laurel as a fragile, ethereal ambassador gliding between two worlds. Sometimes mournful and pensive. But always focused on steadfast pathways of overcoming grief. She allows herself to be guided by powerful forces and uniquely-grouped personalities. She also receives embodiment and purpose as the sole, revered keeper of the living departed (the undead). Another equally potent “laurel”, is that one final victory over fatalistic thinking. The mysterious possibility of life unbroken. Even in the midst of ancient, forgotten, decaying ruins and graveyards. (Necropolis). Our very own unshakable crown of laurel, becomes our greatest hope and faith in renewal. Permanently symbolic of peace and immortal contentment. A commitment and a promise of a planned and beautiful forever without compromise.

3. “Die Stimme”: Here the unmistakably dominant woodwind has presence throughout the musical narrative. Initially, it transcends from ordinary and rustic, to complex, engaging, and dedicated. Its piercing call to regroup, motivates an undeniable circle of participation and celebration. A fresh, flourishing, cultivated, Alpine community revels in its deeply-rooted traditions. The message is crystal clear. Identity and loyalty enhance the essence of the welcoming, but exclusive surroundings. Meanwhile, everyone surprises us with their mastery of custom and cultural exceptions.

4. “Popular World”: What a dizzying, mesmerizing mix of celebrities and models constantly on display and under scrutiny! Nothing grounded in reality. Forgetting it all is the key. In exchange for the hunger and the rush to be recognizable at all cost. To reverse night and day just for the thrill of it. Just for spite. To be seen no matter where. To be heard no matter how. The rhythm remains hypnotic to the end. Without warning. The present moment and caution thrown to the wind. On this notoriously coveted, intense, and famously slippery dance floor.

5. “Cafe Mellow”: The source and essence of utter relaxation. Of much needed refuge. Returning gratefully to one’s favorite hideout. Unwinding with a warm cup of coffee, tea, or liquid of choice. Focused on that page-turner book. Occasionally taking a break, by looking up at the glittering stars and mysterious crescent moon. Contemplating the wishes of the universe, as the confusion of today inaudibly and mercifully fades away.
